Update 2/8/22
Updated: Mar 14, 2022
Church, I hope your Tuesday is winding down well! DNOW is rapidly approaching, check out the details below.
DNOW | March 18-19
DNOW has been one of the staples of the Rock Student Ministry for many years. This weekend is always a powerful weekend as we get to be a part of God working in the hearts of students in the West Georgia area. DNOW is a weekend event where students across West Georgia come together on Roopville Road’s campus to spend time studying Scripture, worshiping, growing in small groups and having fun in competitions and games. DNOW is exclusively for middle and high school students. We encourage students to invite their friends to be a part of the weekend. DNOW weekend brings many opportunities for growing closer to Christ but also a great way for students to reach their friends. The hope for the student pastors who plan and execute DNOW each year is to see students impacted by the gospel of Christ. The cost for DNOW is $35, you can sign your student up HERE.
Another important and unique aspect of DNOW is being a host home. Host homes are simply church members who open their homes for students and leaders to stay the night on Friday and Saturday night. This is an easy, yet great way to serve. If you are interested in serving as a host home for students and leaders that weekend, please reach out to me at andrew@roopvilleroad.org.
While you are here, mark your calendar for the other important opportunities in the Rock.
Senior Weekend | May 14-15
Seniors work tirelessly towards the great accomplishment of graduating high school. We all know that graduating high school is a difficult but invaluable accomplishment and we want to celebrate the seniors well. Saturday, May 14th seniors will set up their tables and we will head on an adventure together. On Sunday morning during service the seniors will be recognized for their accomplishments. More details will be announced as the time gets closer.
Splash | May 31-June 1
Splash Mission has been an established service project for many years in the student ministry. We take this opportunity to go on mission into the schools. We serve our local teachers and administrators in many ways such as organizing, cleaning and moving. Please mark your calendars for your students to serve!
Student Camp | June 27-July 1
Student Camp is one of the most important events on the Rock’s calendar. It is a time when the Rock Student Ministry hits the road and heads down to the Cottages at Laguna Beach. This is a great opportunity to get students away from the normalcy of the every day life and spend time in Scripture, worship, small groups, competitions and games. The cost is $230. You can register HERE!
These are the main events taking us through the summer. There are and will be other opportunities for your student to be involved; encourage them to be as involved as they can! Two of the greatest and most impactful ways they can be involved is by attending the Rock on Wednesday nights, as well as Sunday School on Sunday mornings.
As always, if you need anything or have any questions feel free to reach out to me at andrew@roopvilleroad.org!
By grace,
Andrew
