A few things to let you know about today. 1. Last NightHad a great time getting serious about sin and learning how to deal with it last night. We must understand that we are in a constant battle with sin. It is waiting for us at every turn no matter what our age is in life. We must be ready to battle. Last night we turned our attention to dealing outwardly with sin. How do we live clean in the midst of junk and dirt? Are we equipped to do this? Are we attempting to do this in our strength or through the wisdom and strength God gives? We ended our night by asking the students to write down some things they are struggling with or have questions about. We are willing and prepared to address these things the next several weeks. We can be sure of this.....if we are not willing to answer their questions about sex, drugs, image, worth, alcohol, phone use, and marriage there are others who are more than willing to provide an answer. We must move passed the comfortable and deal with the junk. Here is last nights notes for you to follow along. ![]()
2. Kingdom Come DNOW - March 3-5Dnow is coming up in March. We have begun signups for this event. You are free to sign up at any time....the cost is $25. You can do this online by clicking HERE. You can also go the traditional route by handing me a check or cash. If you choose to go the traditional route we do need this registration form turned in along with the payment. ![]()
We'll have more details later about DNOW but for now we are looking for servers for our lunch and dinner on Saturday. We also need host homes for this weekend. If you can help in any way please email Chris@roopvilleroad.org. We do realize this is the same weekend as the Cupcake Chase. We are hoping to work this into our schedule in some way. Through service, actually running or simply hanging out we hope to be engaged in the event in some way. 3. RoatanThis is a long way off but we are currently gauging interest for our Roatan Mission Trip. Our dates are a bit up in the air currently. The two dates we have currently are July 8-15 or July 15-22. If you are interested please email Chris. We will have an interest meeting to answer any questions if we feel the interest level is strong enough to carry out this trip. Please discuss and pray as a family if you are interested. This is a great trip for students as well as families. Let us know!
