Good morning, afternoon or evening. Whenever you may be reading this email I pray the "how" is the same. By the "how" I mean the one consistent thing we can always have, no matter the time of day. That "how" is the reality that God has given us life to live. God gives this to us, we should be thankful for it, and we should allow that to steer our thoughts throughout every day, no matter the time of day. But life sometimes gets in the way of that doesn't it? We get selfish with our time, we focus on the things rather than the giver of the things. Life gets "out of FOCUS" and we must "REFOCUS" our thoughts. Cue last night in James. Last night in James we looked at two types of people who seem to short change God and his perfect gifts to us. By short change I mean life gets out of focus. One group of people viewed their time as their own and the other group of people viewed their stuff as their own. James seemingly hit this once by saying God was the giver of every good and perfect gift right? But James strikes again. James gives a strict warning and some great correction to these people, and us I might add. So the encouragement for us today is that no matter the time of day, no matter the stuff we've accumulated or have been given, may we be found using it for the Lord. It all belongs to the Lord and it's all be given by the Lord. Use it wisely. Attached below are the sermon notes from last night. I'd encourage you to give them a look. ![]()
COMING UP QUICK!GIMC - THIS WEEKEND - It all begins for our students on Saturday morning. Meet at church at 9:30a to get ready for canvassing. We then will meet back at the church that evening at 6:30p for some time with our missionary. This is such a great time for us a church to hear about what God is doing around the world. We here at RRBC literally have folks around the world, taking the gospel to all nations. How? Come this weekend and find out. But better than that, be here Saturday morning to be a part of that!
GENESIS DNOW - March 13-15th - This weekend is coming up very soon. We are ready and hope your students are as well. While the shirt size deadline has passed it's not too late to sign up and/or pay. All the info you need can be found on our DNOW PAGE. SPRING BREAK HIKING MISSION - We are in the midst of planning a trip to North GA for some ministry on the Appalachian Trail. While there we will have the opportunity to feed folks and begin gospel conversations. So it's a ministry of the meat either way you slice it. (pun intended.) Stay tuned for details. This will be a 1 or 2 night mission, low cost. We'll need plenty of adults as well so parents, as always, you are more than welcome if not encouraged to join your student for this trip. That's it for today. See you all this weekend at some point! Chris
