Hope everyone is doing good and getting into the swing of things with the new school year now rolling right along. I'm sure everyone's spirits are good with the smell of football in the air. If football is of no interest to you we really need to talk soon! NEW YEAR KICK-OFF: Excitement is happening at The Rock as the crowds are up and everyone is ready for a fresh start. We're excited as a ministry for our new theme this year which we'll kick off September 7th. We'll also have sno-kones that night....for free! I'm sure the sno-kones are secondary for the kids and they are more excited about hearing about our theme for the year....surely that's the case. Either way....we're anticipating a big night. Of course the sno-kones are for those at The Rock but I'm sure parents and others can buy a sno-kone once all the students/leaders have been served! That's September 7th! MS POOL PARTY This Saturday, August 20, is our MIDDLE SCHOOL POOL PARTY at our house, 10 Logan Ridge Drive, Carrollton, GA 30116. We'll kick off at 6p and you can come get your rugrat BY 9p. Anything after 9p and we call animal control, for obvious reasons. Students just need to bring a towel and maybe something sweet. MEET AND GREET We'll once again have a meet and greet after the morning service on September 11th. This is a simple time for us to get to meet......and greet some parents and even students who may not be connected with our ministry. This is also a time to place deposits for REFUEL and SUMMER CAMP. If you do so you receive a small discount on those trips. Deposit amounts must be $20/each or greater. We'll have more info on this later but we did want to get you those dates. LAST NIGHT Had a great time in the Word last night as we dig into what a "HE>i" life looks like. It's real easy to say Christ must increase and that I must decrease, John 3:30. It's also really easy to say that GOD is greater than us.....than I. But how do we live in a such a way? Are there things that can help? Absolutely! This doesn't mean it will be easy but God has not left us lacking when it comes to knowing and doing His Word. Attached are the notes from last night as well as the CARD from last night. *the CARD is our way to announce, equip and lead our students. That's what's going on at The Rock. Thankful for the opportunity to lead your students! Chris
