Good morning everyone! You feel that fall air? That means football is here, and bonfires, and less bugs, and it also means the kick off to a new year at The Rock is very close. During our school year we typically update our blog weekly, on Thursday, to keep you the parents up to date with weekly announcements and also share with you what with sharing with your student(s). The blog is also a platform to occasionally share some thoughts or encouragements with you. So here's to another football season, bonfire session, and new year at The Rock! Last NightWe are weeks away from our first series in The Rock so last night was a time to remind ourselves who we are as a ministry and how each student fits into this purpose. We spent some time looking at Colossians 1 and two huge parts of who we are as a ministry. The challenge was simple last night.....consider where you are with Jesus and then consider where you're leading others to go. We pray you're leading people to Jesus....in whatever that next step is with Him. I've attached my sermon notes from last night for you to look through. I pray that you'll not only allow the notes to serve as a check up for what we're doing but also a check up to what you're doing. Don't just make you're reading this an exercise to check what we're doing but allow it to speak to you as well. Last night there was a great challenge to consider, digest and immediately apply. I pray by the end we're all found knowing Christ and making Christ known. That's our heart and our hope for your student(s). I've also included a chart we looked at last night in helping us see what it looks like to take our next step with Christ and then in helping others...may be helpful for you as well!
