Good morning, afternoon or evening! Never sure when you'll actually read the updates! Hope everyone is doing good and that your joy and outlook is not like every college football fan. You know their view right? If they win opening week the national championship talk begins, if they lose it's going to be the longest season ever! Don't allow your current situation to determine if you have joy or not. God is bigger than your situation. In fact, He's over it!
We began our series entitled "What is the World?" So many times in life we see or hear things that make us go "huh?" Not many days go by without us saying "what in the world?" Crazy things, unbelievably amazing things to things we just never really expected. We're often left asking that question, "what in the world?"
Our spiritual life and really our existence is not excluded from that question. We often feel as though our identity is in question or our purpose seems to be a bit foggy. There are times we seemingly wake up and say "what in the world?" This series addresses that questions by looking at 3 big things...3 big questions that seem to specifically communicate "what in the world?"
"Why am I here?" "Who put me here?" "How am I to live while I'm here?"
I've attached the sermon notes from last night as well as our Recap Card (bulletin). These will give you a good glimpse into our night and help you continue the conversation at home.
Bottom line from the night is this:
Your belief in WHY you are here and your belief in WHO put you here
Here are some things that are coming up that you really need to know about.
That's it for now! Hope you all have a great weekend and I'll look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we continue our walk through Philippians (AM) and Proverbs (PM). We also have something for the entire family during Sunday School. See you at Roopville Road Sunday!
Why a blog?
A great way for parents and ministry to connect and continue the conversation of what's going on at The Rock.
