CAMP POST

6/9/2016

Last night at the Rock was all about #abidecamp2016.  We will actually have two CAMP nights this year.  The first one, last night, was to introduce the teams and begin the excitement for Abide Camp. Our next camp night, June 22, will concentrate on the heart and begin the momentum for Abide Camp.

All of the forms and lists are up to date and on the ABIDE PAGE except for the rooms list.  This is still being worked out and will not be updated for good until we feel we're totally finished adding and removing folks.

We are very excited for the week together diving into the Truths of God's Word.  Practically the greatest things we hope we all see and learn is that amazing things happen when you open and read the Word of God daily.  Impossible becomes possible when we all Christ to live and move in and through us.  Unity becomes more than a hope as we work together in our teams and pray together each morning.  Community and worship happens as we declare the praises of the only One who truly deserves it.

We come back refreshed, recharged and committed to continue ABIDING in Christ. We learn this only happens as we daily seek Him.  This happens during camp week but then Saturday comes and no one is there to wake us up, lead us to the beach and ultimately lead to the Word.  We must learn to do this ourselves.  As parents we have the opportunity to encourage, provide and point.  As parents we cannot open their hearts, minds and eyes to the Word.   So we pray and as we pray we model, and as we model we too grow closer to Christ....we ABIDE in Him.  Camp emotions are not emotions they are simply the effects of drawing near to Christ.  ABIDING is the key and in two weeks we hope to point, show, lead our students to this point.

Please pray.
