Happy end of school year madness! It's a crazy week and time in the Altman home as I'm sure it is in your home as well. Praying for grace, strength and wisdom to make it through!
I'm currently in a training workshop in learning how to better read, study and communicate the Bible. I ask for prayers as many pastors from the area gather to sharpen skills as well as gain some encouragement in the Word.
With that said I'll be short today but really ask you strongly consider signing up for some trips coming up.
Reach Summer Camp is very close and the need for deposits to start coming in is huge. We also have a short, at home, trip called Splash. This will be here in Carrollton, helping area schools prepare for summer. This will be the Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day. We'll have more details next week on these trips but feel free to learn more about Reach Camp by looking under the "events" tab at the top of the menu.
Last night we continued our study in a book called Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper. A huge time looking at Christ being our greatest treasure. Some challenging thoughts and questions we all need to consider. I pray you'll look at the notes and questions and continue the conversation at home.
If you have students who are graduating we need to meet with them shortly before the service to ensure everyone is present and to also go over some quick details as to the recognition of them during our service. So please have them meet me in front of the stage around 10:30.
Why a blog?
A great way for parents and ministry to connect and continue the conversation of what's going on at The Rock.
