ForgivenessWe have been going through a study of the book Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper. It's a challenging book that confronts many issues we face as we seek to live to glorify God in all things. Last night we looked at a major "hang up" or potential roadblock to this happening in our lives. If we are to glorify God one pursuit is to make others glad in Him also. But is that always the case? Do we actually seek to do this with an unforgiving heart or do we harbor these feelings and only wish harm on folks? Don't they deserve to be punished? Why should I extend grace and mercy? Some big questions we need to answer as we seek to live and act in a way that makes much of Jesus. Attached are the notes from last night. Rather than having long small group times at the end we changed it up a bit. If you walk through the sermon notes you'll notice some questions we ask along the way. ![]()
